The original Woolacombe village hall was established in 1920 ..... Unfortunately the hall was destroyed in a fire which resulted in the rebuild of the present hall opening in as the locally known Hall 70' in the year 1970 after much community fund raising !
The building is in constant use with clubs, groups, shows and school and is a huge part of local community life and re opened after updating and renovations.
To celebrate we have been hosting various events to cater for the taste of all local villagers with a roaring success ...
oUR FACILITIES
MAIN HALL
The hall was redecorated in 2008 and is approached from the main entrance lobby.
The stage is fully equipped with a modern sound system and hearing loop.
BRITISH LEGION ROOM
The room is ideal for small group meetings or classes.
It has been recently decorated and has good natural light and views across Woolacombe Bay.
KITCHEN
The kitchen was refurbished in 2006 and is fitted with:
New large capacity gas cooker (5 hobs)
Cooking utensils
Saucepan & Pots
Matching Crockery and Cutlery.
Automatic Hot Water Urn
Kettle
Microwave
