terms & Conditions for all bookings

Conditions of Use:

1. The Hirer will be held responsible for any damage, breakages and/or losses to the hall and its contents.

 

2. The sale of alcoholic drinks will only be permitted if the Hirer has obtained the necessary licence.

 

3. The hall may be used for Public Entertainment during the following hours only:

Monday - Saturday 9am to midnight

Sunday - 9am to 11pm

Hours for any event with live music and/or dancing:

Monday - Saturday 10am to 11pm

Sunday - 10am to 10.30pm

 

4. Any evening event involving music should finish by 11pm with the hall vacated by 11.30pm, unless the hirer obtains an events licence in their name from www.gov.uk/temporary-events-notice/north-devon, in which case music should finish by midnight.

 

5. Hirers should note the Fire Routine display in the foyer and familiarise themselves with the fire exits and fire fighting equipment available. Basic First Aid kits are situated in the kitchen areas.

 

6. The Hire Charge for the main hall includes the use of the following: - toilets, kitchen, kitchen equipment and appliances, the stage with all ancillary equipment, chairs and various tables in the hall. The Hirer will be responsible for the movement of all furniture and is asked to leave the hall in the same state as found.

 

7. The Hire Charge for the British Legion Room includes the use of the following: Kitchen and toilet on the lower ground floor level only together with tables and chairs as found in the room.

 

8. Heating and electricity are included in all hire charges.

 

9. Instructions on the use of the heating system can be found in the main kitchen adjacent to the serving hatch.

 

10. Keys must be returned to the key safe immediately after the hire period.

 

11. Hirers wishing to use either kitchen should personally check that the facilities available are adequate for their specific needs.

 

12.Full payment for hire should be made by BACS at time of booking confirmation. A deposit of £50 must be paid on booking, this is returnable following the use of the hall and confirmation of no damages.
